Boys Sunday Evaluations Postponed - New Date(s) TBD

CLC Boys Families,

We will be postponing Sunday's evaluations for the U11 Lightning and U13 Midget age groups.  If necessary, these evaluations will take place at a later date and we will be sure to keep you informed.

If you have not yet registered please use the links below.

We are also in need to coaches and age group (Softstick, Clinic, and Tyker) coordinators to help at the various age groups.  Volunteers are necessary to ensure that our children have a positive environment for fun and development!  If interested in volunteering please indicate that when you register your child or contact Matt Hipszer (CLC boys director) at mhipszer@gmail.com.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!  Have a great weekend!

We have changed to the Dick's Team Sports HQ (by Blue Sombrero) registration system, due in large part to feedback from parents and volunteers. So far, this system has been a welcomed change and we're positive that parents and volunteers will find it to be much easier for this and future seasons.

If you've used the Dick's Team Sports HQ (by Blue Sombrero) system before, you will use the same account/login to register your player(s) for this and future CLC seasons. You will also use the same account/login to register as a volunteer (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Board Member, General Volunteer, and/or Catonsville Classic Volunteer). Check here (https://bluesombrero.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/228187867#q21) for instructions.

2018 Girls Tyker A Team Extended Program Tryouts

Dear Girls Lacrosse Parents,

We are excited to announce that we will be continuing the Tyker A (Travel) lacrosse program in 2018 giving the girls the opportunity to play in an extended season against other lacrosse clubs in our area. Tryouts for this team will be in the evenings of Sunday August 27th and Sunday September 10 (time and location TBD). Registration for the tryouts is required so that we can gauge the interest in forming the team now. You can register through the Catonsville Lacrosse website by following the link below and we ask that you do this prior to August 25th.

http://www.catonsvillelax.org/2018_Girls_Extended_Tryouts

To participate players must be no older than 8 on September 1st 2017 for TYKER. Program questions can be directed to Jessica Altmann at jessaltmann@yahoo.com

Below is a very detailed email, that will explain the following about the extended season:
1) Our goal
2) The program
3) The next steps

OUR GOAL
The mission is to expand the Catonsville Girl's Lacrosse Club, by creating a cost effective and comprehensive expanded program that utilizes the preexisting CLC backbone. It is our goal for our girls to play, learn and grow with their friends in the community. We are focused on four core values:

2018 Boys Extended Program Tryouts

Catonsville Boys Lacrosse Families,

This past lacrosse season, the Boys Lightning A and Tyker Travel team experimented with extended play. For the Tyker travel team, this meant more intense and directed practices as well as play in multiple end of season tournaments. For the Lightning A team, this meant participation in both the MYLA Saturday league as well as the Sunday HOCO Club league. The Lightning A team also participated in 3 end of season tournaments. I am pleased to announce that this new endeavor was a big success. For that reason, we will continue this program moving forward. Having said this, there will some changes to the program to better reflect the changing landscape of youth lacrosse.

Our Vision: To give parents and players an option to participate in competitive club lacrosse at a fraction of the cost and maintaining the community aspect of the sport.

Tyker Travel will still operate as a two-year team (second and third grade depending on birth date). For the older teams, the intention is that the teams that will participate in this extended program will be single year teams. This means that there will be a 4th grade team, a 5th grade team and a 6th grade team. You will need to register for try-outs.

Please go to the following links on the Catonsville Lacrosse Club site and follow the directions on how to register for try-outs. Please keep in mind that you are not registering for the upcoming season, just for try-outs.
